A Chicago native was born into a musical family, that made their presence known in the Chi-town landscape. Introduced to Soul and R&B music during his childhood. Chandlar was always around music. After witnessing his parents rehearsing their music, and his uncle practicing his guitar for hours on end, inspired to explore his musical talents.

Chandlar worked with some of the best musical artists that Chicago had to offer, such as Twista as an artist and producer before relocating to New York City to build on his musical legacy. In New York City, Chandlar added to his musical resume. He performed with such luminaries as the Late R&B singer Aaliyah, Missy Elliot, Timbaland, Boyz II Men, 112, and Donell Jones. In the studio, Chandlar worked with 50 Cent and created music with Montell Jordan. Chandlar’s smooth falsetto voice made him a much sought-after addition to the R&B sector, on stage and in the studio.

Chandlar, who then sought to make his mark as an independent artist. His debut project “Strong Emotion” on which he collaborated with award-winning producer No ID, announced his presence in the music hemisphere, He released his sophomore project “Finally Got My Swagger Back” which opened to rave reviews. His lead single “Never Thought” was featured on Music Choice and topped the Most Requested chart on the platform. This surprise hit independent song led to Chandlar’s performance at Oprah’s 60th birthday extravaganza and Macy’s 4th of July celebration. 

Now as the Co- Bandleader of the band Affiniti NYC with the much-admired powerhouse vocalist Karen J. Chandlar has performed on stages with musical iconic artists such as The Commodores, Eric Roberson, and Lalah Hathaway, and is a featured performer with Karen J at the world-famous Ashford & Simpson Sugar Bar. Valerie Simpson describes this duo as her “Go to act” due to their professionalism, exhilarating chemistry, and stage presence. Chandlar is also added the legacy of the family business, two of his sons have made their impact on the Rap/ Hip Hop genre. Both sons are touring the US and abroad, bringing their unique style of music to the masses, just like their father. Chandlar is still giving the people what they want, great charismatic performance with A smooth melodic falsetto, in 2022, Chandlar merged his talents with Scout Ford and Lorenzo Bell and joined the Men of Soul, and needless to say, the match went down in musical history.
